ABOUT RUTH'S HOUSE

Ruth's House LLC. provides support and accommodations to adults with developmental disabilities in the State of Virgina. Our team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) will assist residents as needed with daily hygiene needs, medication management, meal preparation, participation in community activities, and completion of all outcomes outlined in their Individualized Service Plans (ISPs). These support services are intended to train and assist each individual in attaining the communication and functional skills necessary to live in their community and reach their maximum potential.

SERVICES PROVIDED

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Ruth's House LLC. provides processing of prescriptions for all individuals, transportation to all medical appointments, ordering and tracking of all medications and assists each individual with the administration of his or her medications on a daily basis

ACTIVITIES AND WELLNESS

Ruth's House LLC. provides individuals with the means to live a fulfilling and healthy life. Individuals are encouraged to engage in regular physical activity, healthy eating habits and are provided with regular opportunities to participate in activities both in the house and out in the community. Activities will be based on each individual's personal preferences.

PERSON-CENTERED OUTCOMES

Ruth's House LLC. works with each individual to achieve the outcomes outlined in his or her individualized service plan (ISP).

SUPERVISION

Residents of Ruth's House LLC. receive staff supervision at all times while in the residence.

MEAL PREPARATION

Individuals of Ruth's House LLC. are provided three nutritious meals and two snacks per day. DSPs prepare all meals and include individuals in the meal preparation process whenever possible. This includes basic cooking skills, menu planning, grocery shopping and following recipes.

PERSONAL FINANCE

We offer representative payee services to all residents free of charge to assist in managing income from social security as well as from employment while in our service residents will also learn about their benefits how to identify and manage their own funds and the basics of personal finance.
